Ashley and I got back from Chicago on Monday and it was such a fun trip. We got in a lot of walking, toured some great sites and enjoyed excellent food.
To make sure we didn’t get too full (and to save a few bucks), we ordered small – either appetizers or splitting 1 meal between the 2 of us. That made sure we didn’t have any left overs or for our food to go to waste, and also allowed us to sample so many great restaurants. My wife’s blog post did an excellent job chronicling the places we visited and ate. Being married for 2 years already seems kind of crazy, it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long – which is a good thing, because I think that means we made the right choice.
These pictures were fun to take and I hope you enjoy looking at them. I did a technique called HDR, High Dynamic Range, where you take 3 photos at a time, one dark, one normal and one light, then I used software to put it together to get the final images. I tried not to make the effect too noticeable, but just make it so the pictures are very vibrant. The biggest results are in pictures that have sun and shade (most of them). I plan on writing an article on how to do HDR photos for those of you who may be interested!
